If you need to go on hiatus, please let the mods know here so your character(s) are not accidentally removed for inactivity. We understand that real life trumps RP, and would rather you take a hiatus than unduly cause yourself stress.

If you need to drop a character, please use the following form to do so, as well as updating your contact information, removing your character from the game communities, and un-friending the mod journal. In the drop form, "ROOM ASSIGNMENT:" refers to your character's housing assignment. Thank you!

( Wanted Characters )

Your character is assigned an apartment upon arrival into the Safe Zone. They do not get a choice as to where they live. However, those in charge do attempt to keep loved ones together if at all possible.

Moving into another area is only allowed with permission. If such permission is granted, you must fill out the below form in order for the move to be considered legitimate. If your character is discovered living somewhere else without permission granted, they will be penalized. This is the government, after all.

As per the rules, if a character has died in their fandom and not in the game (ie. Elle Bishop from Heroes) they can be played. However, you must come up with a viable, reasonable explanation as to how they are suddenly once again alive.

The following characters, however, have not died in their fandom but rather in the game / backstory of the game. As such, they are not eligible to be played at Safe Zone.

( Deceased Characters )

Each character is assigned a job, based upon the skills and previous occupational experience they listed on their form upon arrival at the Safe Zone. While quitting their job is certainly allowable, finding other means of employment as well as ways to support themselves until such time, will be extremely difficult. Please keep this in mind, and realistic, should you opt to take this route.

Below, you'll find the list of all of the types of jobs within the Safe Zone. Hierarchy is dependent not only upon your character's specific job (their title/responsibilities/etc.) but also what category their job falls into. Government and Military jobs are the highest ranking (ie. offer the most in pay, allows your character access to restricted areas, etc.) and all other jobs fall beneath either the government tier or the military one.

Simply click on the link of each category to see a brief description of what it entails, as well as what jobs are currently taken in those areas.

NOTE: Should your character quit/change jobs in-game, please respond to this post with the following form. You should not reply with this form for characters who are new to the game. They will be assigned a job upon their arrival.

TOTAL NUMBER OF CHARACTERS: 52

This is where you place a character on hold. You can hold up to 3 characters at a time, and holds last for ten days. If you need an extension, we will grant one extension for four days upon request.

Challenges are allowed. For each challenge issued, both players have until Midnight EST on the expiration date of the challenger's hold to apply for the character. Once the mods have both of the applications, we will then decide the winner. There are no extensions and all mod decisions are final. ALL CHALLENGE APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE A WRITING SAMPLE AND CANNOT LINK TO OLD THREADS OR LOGS.

► You must write at least 250 words minimum in the personality section of your application
► If you are already a player within this game, you are not required to provide writing samples unless otherwise asked to by the mods.
► After you comment with your application, request access to join the various communities here, here, here, here and here. Your application will not be considered until you have done this.

► If your application is rejected, you must wait two weeks before reapplying for that character. After two rejections, you are no longer allowed to apply for that character.

First and foremost, this is an RP (roleplay) based community. This means that it is in no way real, nor do we the players believe it to be so. We are merely creating a universe in which we can better our writing skills and have a little fun.

This is a multi-fandom based RP. This means that all genres are welcome. Anything goes, but you must follow the guidelines laid out in the rules. They are as follows.
